Student Expectations

  • Students are expected to arrive at the scheduled time for their lesson.

  • Students are expected to arrive to their lesson with their instrument, bow, rosin, and corresponding sheet music.

  • It is strongly recommended students bring a spiral-bound notebook for keeping proper track of notes and assignments.

  • Students are strongly encouraged to practice a minimum of once per day as bass is a strength-related instrument where mastery is achieved through consistency.

Parent/Guardian Expectations

  • As students are expected to arrive on time, no prorating nor refund will be given for lesson time missed due to tardiness by the student - no exceptions.

  • Parents are expected to order music, coordinate instrument repairs, and supply their student(s) with the necessary performance accessories in a timely fashion.

Additional Information & Policies

Scheduling of lessons

  • All lessons are one (1) hour in duration with no exceptions.

  • For best progress, it is recommended lessons be held once a week.

  • Lessons should be scheduled in one month blocks (four sessions at a time) in order to ensure schedule alignment between the student and Ms. Allgood.

  • Ms. Allgood reserves the right to proactively reschedule lessons based on schedule changes of her professional commitments.

Cancellation / 'No Show' Policy

  • To cancel a scheduled lesson, please send a text message to Ms. Allgood with your name and lesson date / time.

  • Parents / Students must cancel their scheduled lesson a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours in advance to avoid being charged for the lesson.

  • Cancellations due to illness within the twenty-four hour window will be accepted without requirement to pay, provided it does not become a pattern.

Payment Policy

  • Payments for each lesson are due on the day of the lesson, no later than the conclusion of the lesson.

  • Preferred payment methods are Zelle© and Cash. 

  • Should Ms. Allgood miss a scheduled lesson for any reason, Ms. Allgood will owe the student a make-up lesson free of charge.

  • Parents / Students who cancel their lesson within twenty-four (24) hours of the scheduled lesson time will be responsible for paying for the lesson.

  • Students who do not show ('No Show') for a scheduled lesson will be responsible for paying for the lesson.
