Gloria Allgood is absolutely phenomenal not only as a teacher, but as a person!  After 4 years of being her student, I would highly recommend any young double bassist study with her.  She taught me the foundational skills and techniques I needed to get accepted into several top collegiate music programs.  She is endlessly supportive and challenges her students to be their best.
